Who is Bradt Road Maple?

Bradt Road Maple was built from a passion for agriculture, entrepreneurship, and a deep appreciation for the land. What began as a simple backyard experiment making maple syrup soon became something much greater. Rick started small, boiling sap on a modest 2×4 flat pan, simply enjoying the process of tapping trees, collecting sap, and turning it into pure maple syrup.

Over time, that small hobby evolved into a commercial maple syrup operation. Alongside his brother Nick, friends Ryan and Ben, and many others who generously offered their help over the years, Rick continued expanding the operation one season at a time. Through long days during maple season, countless hours of work, and a shared dedication to quality, Bradt Road Maple steadily grew into what it is today.

As the business expanded, so did the family involvement. When Barb and her children, William and Savannah, became part of the journey, Bradt Road Maple truly became a family operation. Maple season quickly turned into a time when everyone worked together—collecting sap, helping in the sugarhouse, bottling syrup, and preparing products for customers. Rick’s parents, Rick and Vicky, along with his Aunt Martha, also play an important role in supporting the operation and helping everything run smoothly.

At Bradt Road Maple, supporting agriculture goes beyond producing syrup. The family strongly believes in encouraging the next generation of agricultural leaders and proudly supports FFA and the opportunities it provides to young people. Hard work, leadership, and preserving agriculture for future generations are values that remain at the heart of the business.

Today, Bradt Road Maple continues to reflect the same values it was founded on: family, tradition, hard work, and a commitment to producing high-quality pure maple syrup. While the operation has grown significantly from its humble beginnings, the mission remains the same—to create quality products while honoring the agricultural community and way of life that made it all possible.
